Life at Grace Care

What It's Actually Like to Work Here.

Grace Care is a licensed adult care home in Gresham, Oregon — not a large institutional facility. With a maximum of five residents, our caregivers build real relationships instead of rotating through an endless list of rooms. You'll know each resident's routines, preferences, and health history, and you'll see the direct impact of your work every single day.

Every new hire is mentored directly by Larisa, our founder and Director of Care, rather than handed a manual and left to figure things out. Our team is small by design, which means your questions get answered, your schedule stays humane, and burnout — common in larger senior care facilities across the Portland metro area — isn't part of the culture here.

Questions From Applicants

Do I need to be a certified CNA before applying?

Certification helps, but it isn't always required for every role. We provide paid, structured training for the right candidates and support staff working toward CNA or HCA certification in Oregon.

What does a typical shift look like at a boutique home like Grace Care?

With a maximum of five residents and a 1:5 staff-to-resident ratio, shifts are calmer and more personal than at a large facility. You'll know every resident by name, routine, and history — not just a room number.

Is there room to grow professionally?

Yes. Our director of care mentors caregivers and interns directly, and several of our team members have used their time at Grace Care to advance toward CNA, HCA, or nursing credentials.
